In late 2018 as we began to launch the Soundness Initiative it became clear that it was necessary to expand our collaboration efforts to organizations serving law-enforcement professionals beyond their banking needs. When it comes to The Four Pillars of Soundness – Financial, Physical, Emotional, and Professional – we clearly have the expertise to offer in the first area given we have several POCUA Police Credit Unions that provide guidance to police officers and their families every day. When it comes to the other three areas, it became clear that we needed to develop relationships with knowledge and proficiency in these fields. Thus, the Police Partner program was created.
Our Police Partner program is currently open to 501c3 organizations that serve law-enforcement professionals and/or their families under the following requirements:
Must place the POCUA logo prominently on their website and list our organization as a partner
Send a minimum of two email blasts to their email list promoting our POCUA Police Credit Unions as the primary financial institutions for law enforcement throughout the country. The POCUA will provide copy and visuals for these emails
Post a minimum of a quarterly post to their social media accounts promoting our POCUA Police Credit Unions as the primary financial institutions for law enforcement throughout the country. The POCUA will provide copy and visuals for these posts
Agree to not promote any financial institution – bank or credit union – other than POCUA Member Credit Unions. Any exceptions will need to be discussed with the POCUA Founder and CEO. Remember, just because an institution may serve law enforcement, they are not necessarily a POCUA Police Credit Union
Our program benefits our Police Partners in the following ways:
Register for POCUA events at POCUA member discounts
Have their logo on our website as a POCUA Police Partner
Have their logo on our emails as a POCUA Police Partner
Have access to POCUA Partner only calls, video meetings, and collaboration meetings
Have access to the decision makers of our POCUA Police Credit Unions and Business Partners for the purpose of having them support their events and initiatives
Our Police Partners provide an important piece of the puzzle not only to the Soundness Initiative and our support for law enforcement but also directly to our POCUA Police Credit Unions and Business Partners. Aside from the promotion mentioned above, our Police Partners provide areas of support to the POCUA Police-Credit-Union members when needed, especially when it comes to emotional support.
Law-enforcement organizations that are interested in becoming POCUA Police Partners may contact Ken Bator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
