Supporting Those That Serve
Service has always been a cornerstone of the credit union industry. Today many of the members of Police Credit Unions need our support more than ever. Given the unfortunate, and even frightening, level of contempt for law enforcement by some individuals, organizations that serve these brave men and women have an even greater responsibility. Thus, the theme for the 14th Annual Police Officers' Credit Union Conference is Supporting Those That Serve.
While being a credit union is important in and of itself, the real distinction of the members of the POCUA is who we serve. Therefore, when we meet in New Orleans in May 2017, we will skip the usual presentations on compliance or lending or board governance that everyone can find at just about any credit union convention across our nation. Instead we will focus on our true distinction - providers of services to those who serve in the honored profession of law enforcement.
